Achmelvich Fishing Competition 2009

Unfortunately the competition could not take place on Tuesday 28th of July 2009 due to weather conditions and was rescheduled for Wednesday and again rescheduled for Thursday but no joy

on Thursday the 30th of July 2009 it was decided to hold a raffle on Achmelvich beach as a fair way to distribute the prizes to all who entered the competition

will try to post some pictures and details of prize winners later

as Jimmy Southwell won 2008 he is still the champ for 2009

a Big thanks to the RNLI who came into the bay on Thursday if the competition had went ahead the RNLI would have been in attendance throughout the 3hrs thanks to all who dug deep for these brave guys who do a wonderful job saving lives at sea

and again many thanks to Denholm Fishselling Co, Lochinver (the hardware store) for sponsoring the event also a special thanks to all who donated many of the prizes and took part in the competition
