Sea Fishing in the Fort William and north Oban area

Fort William and Oban have some of the best coastal sea fishing in the country with well over 700 miles of coastline for sea anglers with sea lochs to name but a few Loch Linnhe, Loch Leven, loch Etive, Loch Sunart, the sound of Mull and of course the coastal area of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. with this area having everything from sandy bays to towering cliffs, which offer various habitats for many species of fish.

Thornback Rays, Spur dogs, Conger Eels, Pollack, Mackerel and Whiting are common catches amongst today's sea anglers but not limited to this alone

Take a days boat fishing and you might even hook yourself a huge common skate, which can reach weights of over 150lbs

The sandy bays in the Ardnamurchan peninsula offer the likes of Plaice, flounder and Turbot, try Sanna bay and take your camera with you as this place is of outstanding beauty as is the whole of this region

all of the fish in the photos were caught in Loch Sunart and returned safely to fight another day, Take care and tight lines
